Job description

MRI Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30). Weekend coverage required.

The MRI Technologist will operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring the highest quality diagnostic imaging while prioritizing patient safety and comfort. The technician will effectively communicate with patients about procedures and ensure a smooth workflow within the imaging department.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans on patients using GE 1.5T or equivalent MRI equipment.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as required for specific imaging studies.
  • Ensure all images are labeled accurately and completed according to departmental standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • ARRT certified in MRI or Radiology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required, preferably in acute care settings.
  • Experience with Epic charting system.
  • Strong skills in a variety of imaging techniques including neuro, GI, and vascular procedures.
