Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an IT Help Desk Lead to join our IT team to serve as the primary point of contact for desktop support, new-hire onboarding, and network/infrastructure coordination across our U.S. offices. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in desktop and deskside support, endpoint management, EDR/Antivirus, identity/access provisioning, and vendor coordination, and will work closely with our IT, network, and Security teams. This position may be based out of San Francisco or Irvine, CA, with support responsibilities extending to our three California offices: San Francisco, Santa Clara, and Irvine.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage laptop onboarding, imaging, initial installs, and employee setup for 10-15 new hires per week

  • Own Tier 1 ticketing and desktop support for all U.S. offices, including remote IT support

  • Provide laptop/OS support and manage remote access via ScreenConnect

  • Administer SharePoint, including site permissions and content management

  • Provision and manage VPN accounts across FortiGate and Cisco platforms

  • Support an enterprise domain consolidation initiative to streamline email and identity infrastructure

  • Drive adoption of an upgraded IT ticketing system

  • Stand up IT asset tracking and management processes

  • Redesign imaging deployment and onboarding processes for greater efficiency

  • Administer and provision access across all our 3rd party IT software

  • Assist in managing IT-related subscriptions and services

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of experience in IT help desk / desktop support, including Tier 1-2 ticketing and deskside support

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required

  • Endpoint/device management experience (imaging, Intune/Jamf, Autopilot) across Windows and macOS

  • Experience with remote support tooling (e.g., ScreenConnect)

  • Identity and access management experience: account/group provisioning and SSO

  • Network/VPN administration experience (FortiGate and Cisco AnyConnect)

  • M365/SharePoint administration experience, including site permissions and sharing governance

  • Atlassian administration experience (Jira/Confluence) and Slack administration

  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume onboarding workflows (10-15 new hires/week) with strong process discipline

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Strong account and access management experience with RBAC provisioning

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Solar Industry experience (Renewable)

  • IT project management experience, particularly with identity/directory migrations (Active Directory/Entra ID, domain or tenant-to-tenant merges)

  • ITSM/ticketing platform administration and process automation/scripting experience

  • IT asset management (ITAM) and inventory administration experience

  • Experience in network engineering and cybersecurity

  • Familiar with cloud-based systems (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)

  • IT-related certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, CISSP

  • Familiar with Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira)

  • Familiarity with software development and AI software tooling (e.g. Github, Claude)

COMPENSATION:
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the anticipated annual base salary for this position is:
  • Zone 1 (Bay Area, NYC): $106,900 - $117,600

  • Zone 2 (CA, NJ, NY): $98,000 - $107,800

  • Zone 3 (All Others): $89,100 - $98,000

The applicable salary range is based on the employee's primary work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, and other business-related factors.
