Role Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Tech position supports the Senior Facilities Manager & Community Director at our new Kiln Bend Oregon Location in executing the upkeep and general maintenance of the facility, coordinate with vendors when needed, aids staff by repairing reported issues, installing, and moving furniture, maintaining appliances, and assisting our team to ensure a pleasing atmosphere for the coworking community. We expect that this role will work 20 - 24 hours per week. We are flexible when it comes to building out a schedule but we ask that once we set the schedule this individual is reliable and dependable.

Major Responsibilities:

Facilities Maintenance

  • Patching and painting drywall
  • Paint touch-ups
  • Fixing furniture
  • Hanging whiteboards
  • Hanging TVs
  • Fixing or installing appliances
  • Moving office panels
  • Moving office desks
  • Hanging art
  • Fixing Door Locks
  • Moving furniture
  • Scheduled Preventative Maintenance ie. HVAC Filters, water filters
  • Maintain inventory of stored items
  • Schedule and manage temp staff, contractors, and vendors
  • Manage relationships and negotiate preferred pricing/bids
  • Coordinate approved capital projects as directed by the Community Director/Build and Procurement Team
  • Ensure compliance with all warranties and state/federal requirements

Ideal Experience and Skills:

  • Finish Carpentry or Painting experience is preferred
  • Handy Man Experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrates integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, follow and empathy
  • Passion and understanding for Kiln’s mission and values
  • Basic understanding of preventative maintenance and property repair
  • Ability to identify issues without being asked
  • Self-starter, critical eye for what needs to be done
