Job description

Job Number: R0243673 Expert SAR Imagery Scientist The Opportunity: Leverage advanced and spe cia lized physics research expertise to test and analyze physical pheno mena , conduct and shape R & D programs, and support S & T client challenges. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision, and mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies. You Have: * 6+ years of experience as an SAR Expert, working with collection, phenomenology, image formation process, and exploitation products
* Experience with SARPy and MATLAB SAR toolbox
* Experience with RNIIRS, information theoretic-based image quality met rics, SAR imagery quality met rics, and sensor met adata such as graze or squint
* Experience exploiting SAR to determine the occurrence and location of an OOI
* Experience developing, testing, and evaluating new algorithms, processes, met hodologies, and products using SAR imagery with tools such as Python, MATLAB, or Google Earth Engine
* Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences about the availability and capabilities of SAR
* Knowledge of the principles of remote sensing and imagery processing, and advanced exploitation met hods
* Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam * Associate's degree and 16+ years of experience with SAR, remote sensing, image processing, or image science, Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience with SAR, remote sensing, image processing, or image science, Master's degree and 13+ years of experience with SAR, remote sensing, image processing, or image science, Doctorate degree and 11+ years of experience with SAR, remote sensing, image processing, or image science, or 18+ years of experience with SAR, remote sensing, image processing, or image science in lieu of a degree Nice If You Have: * Experience applying CV and machine learning to SAR imagery Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
