Job description

Description

Provide leadership in developing and expanding loan, deposit and electronic services relationships within assigned market area, for a branch or for multiple branches (Branch Manager IV). Execute a business development plan designed to increase market share and promote the positive image of the Bank within the local community. Develop and grant loans within specified lending authority. Supervise personnel and be responsible for operations of a full-service branch banking operation


Duties:

Design and execute a business development and sales program within the branch

Establish priorities and sales plans for market area and branch

Champion the branch's participation in the High Performance Checking Program and related events. 

Document calls, results and branch cross sales information

Participate in local civic and community activities to facilitate lead generation


Perform duties as a Bank loan officer

Exceed customer expectations in daily job performance through implementation of effective service skills in every customer contact 


Research credit history and financial data

Make loan approval/denial decision or present loan for Senior Lender decision

Monitor document preparation and close the loan, or administer the declination

Contribute to management reports regarding loan portfolio activities/quality

Maintain current lending and industry knowledge through professional reading and education


Provide counsel and information on banking and financial matters to customers

Determine customer needs through consultative discussions

Explain and sell Bank products to meet customers' needs

Refer customers to other areas within the Bank such as First Advisors as needed

Resolve customer complaints or problems quickly to the mutual satisfaction of the customer and the Bank

Provide notary and signature guarantee service for Bank customers


Oversee the daily operation of a full service branch banking operation

Direct branch operations through implementation of established policies and procedures

Coordinate branch based activities including personnel management & evaluation, workflow design, and building maintenance


Encourage the individual development of staff through the execution of a formal coaching program.


Perform other duties as requested.



Requirements

  • College degree in business administration, finance, accounting, allied major, or equivalent.      
  • Bank experience in a customer contact position and prior supervisory experience is desirable. 
  • Exposure to bank-based lending process is very desirable. 
  • Work experience in an unsupervised environment is critical. 
  • Must be NMLS registered or have the ability to be registered
