Job description

We are currently seeking a Landscape Architect / Sr. Designer with a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience to be part of our Landscape Architecture team in West Palm Beach, Florida.

In this position you will work collaboratively with our Landscape Studio Manager and Project Managers in the development of landscape deliverables on a wide variety of public and private projects.  Projects will range from public plazas and parks, playgrounds, municipal facilities, streetscapes, multifamily developments, and private clubs. Clients include municipalities, counties and state agencies, developers, private clubs and homeowner associations.

  • Development of landscape plan packages; including landscape, hardscape, landscape lighting and irrigation plans from concept through construction
  • Modification of drawings based on input from Project Manager
  • Assist in meetings and public presentations
  • Preparation of graphics for presentations
  • Research and review of local land development regulations for standards
  • Works under the direction of a Project Manager on the Landscape Architecture Team
  • Works with consultants during design phases from concept through construction
  • Works in a team environment to establish and maintain common schedule goals

  • 5-7 years experience
  • Demonstrates reliable understanding of the relationship between design and constructability
  • Proficiency using computer software programs including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using computer software programs including SketchUp, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and/or Illustrator is a plus
  • Proficiency in preparing hand drawn sketches, graphics and illustrations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to write reports, business correspondence and presentations
