Job description

The Attendant is a person specifically trained, competent, and performs assigned functions of care to the IHSS client in their residence under the direction, instruction and supervision of qualified Agency personnel/Agency's Licensed Health Care Professional. In this role, you will report to the Operations Manager and/or the IHSS Clinical Program Manager.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None


Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures

  • Understands and promotes client rights

  • Performs client services in accordance with the plan of care and Agency policy

  • Completes appropriate service notes completely, accurately and in a timely manner as per Agency policy

  • Reports changes in the client's condition and needs to the supervisor

  • Participates in all required orientation, training, competency and in-service programs as scheduled and necessary per Agency policy

  • Is available for and participates in the supervisory visits per Agency direction

  • Participates in coordination of client care, as required

  • 18 years of age or older
