Job description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners and their families in a vibrant educational setting near Warren, MI. As an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher and MIPP Transition Coordinator, you'll work closely with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams to shape the learning journey for students with diverse needs. This full-time position runs from now through June 11, 2027, with hours from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM—morning duty only, offering a balanced workday.

In this role, you’ll provide both direct and indirect Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services while serving as IEP case manager. Your expertise will drive IEP development, progress monitoring, evaluations, and comprehensive transition planning to ensure each child's success.

What you bring:

  • Michigan teaching certificate with ZA (Early Childhood Education), ZA (Early Childhood PK), or ZA (Early Childhood SPED) endorsement
  • In-depth knowledge of IDEA, MARSE, and IEP compliance regulations
  • Experience supporting students with behavioral, communication, sensory, feeding/toileting, and developmental needs preferred
  • Competence in IEP management, progress monitoring, and transition planning
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver hands-on, individualized ECSE instructional services
  • Serve as IEP case manager, meeting all compliance requirements
  • Develop, assess, and track IEP goals and student progress
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams for evaluations and planning
