Position: Project Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (on-site)

We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Project Engineer to join our Civil Group. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of site development and municipal infrastructure projects across multiple market sectors.

As a Project Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of complex civil engineering projects while collaborating across disciplines and mentoring junior staff.


  • Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final site design plans for commercial, institutional, and public projects.
  • Develop grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater management designs using applicable local and state standards.
  • Prepare and review construction documents, technical specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
  • Coordinate project design activities with internal disciplines, subconsultants, and clients.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations for stormwater conveyance and detention systems.
  • Develop erosion control and regulatory compliance plans in accordance with IDEM and municipal requirements.
  • Mentor and assist junior engineers and CAD designers, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Provide technical support during permitting and construction administration phases.
  • Participate in project meetings with clients, contractors, and review agencies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE required).
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in civil/site design or municipal infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.
  • Knowledge of IDEM, DOT, and local stormwater and utility standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and team interaction.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
