The Fitness Attendant plays a key role in delivering an exceptional wellness experience for members and their guests. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and service within the fitness center while fostering a welcoming, professional, and member-focused environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm, professional greeting to all members and guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Maintain continuous presence on the fitness floor to ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment.
  • Clean and sanitize fitness equipment, studios, locker rooms, and common areas in accordance with club standards.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly; promptly report and follow up on maintenance needs.
  • Anticipate member needs by proactively offering assistance, towels, and amenities.
  • Enforce club policies and fitness center etiquette in a courteous and discreet manner.
  • Provide basic instruction on proper use of fitness equipment (not personal training unless certified).
  • Assist with daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring the facility is prepared for member use.
  • Support fitness programming, special events, and wellness initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of towels, water, and cleaning supplies.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hospitality, fitness, or a private club environment preferred.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification (required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Schedule Availability Requirements:

  • Tuesday โ€“ Thursday: 2:00 PM โ€“ 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 2:00 PM โ€“ 6:00 PM
