Ice Solutions is a rapidly growing provider of bulk liquid deicing and ice management solutions, serving snow contractors, municipalities, airports, and commercial operators. Our products deliver safer, cleaner, and more efficient ice control than traditional rock salt. As we continue expanding across key U.S. markets, we're seeking experienced operational leaders to oversee multiple facilities, build high-performing teams, and ensure exceptional service delivery throughout their assigned region.

Position Overview

The Regional Manager, in collaboration with the Director of Operations, is responsible for the overall operational performance of the Ice Solutions production and distribution facilities within an assigned geographic region. This position provides leadership for regional operations, including production, inventory management, fleet and equipment, facility maintenance, employee performance, safety compliance, and financial accountability.

The Regional Manager partners closely with Operations, Business Development, Finance, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitable regional growth while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Collaboration with all groups and teams within Ice Solutions is key.

Core Responsibilities

Regional Operations

  • Assist with directing and oversight of day-to-day operations across multiple production facilities, warehouses, and distribution locations within assigned states or territories.
  • Ensure all regional operations consistently meet production, quality, safety, and customer service expectations.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Operations, develop operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize productivity.
  • Monitor regional performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Site & Shop Management

  • Manage multiple production shops and storage facilities.
  • Ensure facilities remain organized, compliant, and operate efficiently.
  • Conduct regular site visits and operational audits.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and capital improvement projects.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, develop, coach, and supervise Site Supervisors, Site Laborers, CDL Drivers, and other regional personnel.
  • Strategize with the Director of Operations to establish performance expectations and conduct regular employee evaluations.
  • Foster a culture that is centered on accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with workforce planning and seasonal staffing requirements.
  • Address employee relations issues and performance concerns in partnership with Human Resources.

Production & Quality

  • Ensure all Ice Solutions products are produced according to established quality standards and product specifications.
  • Assist in the oversight of regional production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory requirements.
  • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Ensure safe and proper handling, storage, and transportation of all materials. Ensure that all safety requirements and safeguards are in place at all times.

Equipment & Fleet Management

  • Assist in the oversight of regional fleet operations, including trucks, trailers, tanks, forklifts, production equipment, and support vehicles.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance programs are followed.
  • Monitor equipment utilization and recommend replacement or capital purchases as needed.
  • Coordinate repairs to minimize operational downtime.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials, finished products, equipment, and supplies.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
  • Coordinate procurement and inventory transfers between facilities when necessary.
  • Minimize waste while ensuring product availability.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote a safety-first culture throughout all regional operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Conduct safety inspections, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all employees receive required safety and operational training.

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and managing regional operating budgets.
  • Monitor labor costs, production costs, equipment expenses, and inventory levels.
  • Review operational reports and regional KPIs.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for executive leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Business Development to support customer growth and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations and Finance regarding budgeting, purchasing, and inventory valuation.
  • Work closely with Operations leadership to implement company initiatives and strategic objectives.
  • Support emergency response activities and seasonal operational planning.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a relevant field, such as Project Management.

Computer skills:

Ability to quickly learn new database programs. Proficient in navigating communication platforms (such as GPS Mobile Applications, etc.).Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, Samsara, and Paylocity.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 10+ years' experience in a construction/maintenance industry management role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
