Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (ICE) is looking for a Senior Manager, Exchange Data, Content Strategy & Acquisition.

Weย seekย highly motivated candidates for an opportunity to join the Exchange Content Strategy & Acquisition team which supports ICE's third-party data content requirements andย is responsible forย the licensing,ย distributionย and management of exchange content globally.ย ย ย 

The primary responsibilities of this position will be to support the exchange contentย strategyย acquisition process at ICE by managing relationships and contract negotiations with global stock and derivativesย exchanges,ย withย a focusย on (but not limited to)ย stock andย derivatives exchangesย inย the Americas andย EMEA.ย ย 

Responsibilities

  • Partnerย with businessย stakeholdersย onย exchangeย content requirements and strategy.ย 
  • Lead contractual negotiations with exchanges, securingย group rights forย dataย distribution,ย connectivityย and internal usage rights forย products and servicesย world-wide.ย ย ย 
  • Review,ย analyzeย and negotiateย exchangeย agreementsย and policies.ย 
  • Establish andย maintainย strongย commercial relationships withย exchangeย contentย providers.ย 
  • Negotiateย and manageย changes inย exchangeย policies andย feesย andย communicate updates toย internal business lines.ย ย 
  • Manage exchange contentย rightsย andย obligations, andย make recommendations to the business on potential risks and suggested actions.ย 
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert on exchange data used throughout the business,ย to promoteย content strategy and rights management for ICE.ย 
  • Haveย broadย understanding of regulatory changes and their potential impact on exchange licenses and commercials.ย 
  • Coordinate with Finance on content acquisition, feeย changesย and budget forecasting.ย ย 
  • Support the management ofย third-partyย content data audits.ย 
  • Manage and contribute toย exchangeย content projects.ย 
  • Participate in industry conferences and workshops.ย ย 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Advancedย understanding of market dataย and ofย financial markets.ย 
  • Strong experience negotiating commercial agreements/strong negotiation skills.ย 
  • 7+ years with a market data vendor or market data department in a financial institution.ย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.ย 
  • Excellentย communication and relationship management skills.ย ย 
  • Understanding of entitlement and billing systems.ย 
  • Excellentย organizational skills, withย abilityย to workย with autonomy and to manage and adapt to change.ย 
  • Experience liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors at all levels.ย 
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel,ย Wordย and PowerPoint.ย 
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.ย 
  • Attention to detail in high volume and high activity situations.ย 
  • Strongย familiarityย ofย complexย real timeย business use cases, end-of-day business use cases, and derived data use cases.ย 

New York Base Salaryย Rangeย 

The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $150,000 - 185,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual. Regular full-time ICE employees are eligible for a suite of competitive employee benefits, including healthcare coverage (medical, dental and vision), a 401(k) plan, life insurance, time off, and paid leave for qualifying circumstances.ย
