Job description

Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and assigning work for Tech Services teams. Ensures the on-time completion of work orders, the efficient use of resources, and the quality of the work order data. Drives reliability concepts through PM creation and upkeep.

  • Reviews, organizes, and coordinates all incoming non-emergent work orders. Reviews for start and completion dates, work type, scope, priority, and estimates of man-hours.
  • Uploads employee work schedule into Viziya utilizing input from maintenance supervisors. Compares and contrasts available labor force to the forecasted work demand and machine availability as well as material needs to develop a forecasted work schedule.
  • Monitors actual vs estimated labor hours on work orders and makes adjustments as needed and recommendations to improve estimated hours. Provides feedback to supervisors on most appropriate staffing levels and work schedules.
  • Provides forecasted work schedule and collaborates with operations, maintenance and reliability teams to review and approve a work schedule for the following week.
  • Conducts daily qualification of all completed work orders. Edits data and provides constructive feedback to technicians to improve the efficiency and quality of the work order data. Makes recommendations to supervisors and managers on potential areas of improvement.
  • Plans schedules and prepares detailed repair type work orders. Includes materials, skilled labor, work plan, and asset availability.
  • Participates in the continuous improvement efforts to develop and enhance PMs and to continually improve PM frequencies, reference techniques, and optimization of the work order scheduling, assignment, and overall work order flow.
  • Responsible for establishing and resetting daily priorities of work as necessary for prompt completion of work assignments and adherence to schedules.
  • Plans and organizes regular equipment preventative and predictive maintenance functions for all fluid utilities assets and coordinates with Operations to manage the annuals/REOs for production-based equipment.
  • Creates and enhances PM reference procedures and provides training on these documents. Create parts lists and kits for PM's and ensure that all items are on hand as needed by working with purchasing and inventory groups. Organize and manage the assignment of predictive documentation responsibilities associated with Planned Work.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity. 

  • Associates Degree in Engineering or related field preferred. 
  • CMRP Certification preferred. 
  • 2 years experience in a technical manufacturing field or total 5 years experience in industrial maintenance environment. 
  • Proficient with Oracle EAM, Viziya and MS windows products like Excel and Word, or other work order management system. 
  • Previous experience with project management/work scheduling preferred. 
  • 5 years Industrial maintenance experience.
  •  Strong knowledge of maintenance tech work responsibilities and requirements. 
  • General electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical. 
  • Must have advanced knowledge of EAM and Viziya system operations and would be considered the departments subject matter expert. 
  • Good working knowledge of materials ordering processes as well as appropriate materials for work area. 
  • Advanced CMMS knowledge and good understanding on blueprint reading. 
  • Must have exceptional working knowledge of computer software, including Excel, Word, and be proficient with Oracle EAM or other work order management system and have exceptional communication and leadership skills. 
  • Must be skilled in optimizing team performance and labor utilization.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task. 
  • Must have strong inter-personal skills with an emphasis on customer service, negotiation, and the ability to deal with conflict and ambiguity effectively. 
  • Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively cross-functionally. Ability to prioritize multiple projects. Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively. Manages through rapid change
