JOB SUMMARY
The Ice Cream Clerk is responsible for preparing ice cream and serving each guest in a friendly, professional and timely manner. This includes greeting guests, processing orders, fulfilling orders, making ice cream cones to order and applying toppings or special requests as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engage guests through interaction and courteous service skills.
  • Prepare and serve all ice cream menu items.
  • Proper operation, respect, and care for equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and well stocked ice cream and seating area.
  • Perform opening and closing duties for ice cream equipment and area.
  • Able to multi-task under pressure and make the best use of your time.
  • Exercise good judgement.
  • Treat others as you would like to be treated.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum Age: 14 Years Old
  • No previous experience needed only a willingness to learn
  • A current and valid state-issued food handler's permit
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate confidently and clearly
  • Enjoys working with others
  • Self-sufficiency with the ability manage yourself
  • Knowledge of computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS
Ability to stand for an extended period. Moving and handling boxes of product throughout the store, which entails lifting and reaching, climbing and bending.
