They coordinate activities such as hockey games, figure skating practices, public skating sessions, and private rentals to ensure the optimal use of the facility. Their job often involves working with coaches, teams, and event organizers, as well as maintaining accurate records of bookings and resolving scheduling conflicts. Ice Coordinators may also assist with event planning, customer service, and ensuring that safety and facility regulations are followed.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an ice coordinator, and why are they important?

Familiarity with booking and scheduling software, as well as safety and maintenance protocols for ice arenas, is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills help you coordinate between teams, staff, and clients efficiently.
