About this Job nlhsd.org The Northwest Louisiana Human Services District's mission is to increase public awareness of and to provide access for individuals with behavioral health and developmental disabilities to integrated community based services while promoting wellness, recovery, and independence through education and the choice of a broad range of programmatic and community resources. Our vision is that the Northwest Louisiana Human Services District exists so that individuals with mental health, addictive disorders, and developmental disabilities residing in the parishes of Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine, and Webster are empowered, and self-determination is valued such that individuals live a satisfying, hopeful, and contributing life. We are seeking an Administrative Coordinator 4 to serve in our Fiscal Services Department to assist in ensuring the accounting/billing function of the District is carried out according to policies and procedures, as well as serve as liaison for the outlying clinics and provide administrative support for the Chief Financial Officer

AN IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES: Selected Core Competencies: Accepting Direction: The ability to be open and willing to follow guidance or instructions. Demonstrating Accountability: The ability to take ownership of actions, behaviors, performance, decisions, and outcomes. Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to follow, reinforce, adapt, or develop policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal and state legal requirements, State Civil Service rules, and organizational policies.

Selected Preferred Competencies: Communicating Effectively: The ability to convey information, ideas, and emotions using structured communication methods that promote understanding and engagement. Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Process all billing denials for the District clinics. Performs daily billing of Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance claims through the Electronic Health Record.

Serves as primary contact for clinic's Medicaid Application Center. Provide technical support for all Behavioral Health Clinics, including travelling to all clinics to ensure Support Staff are using the correct process. Assists in training clinic staff on the aspects of ICANotes Electronic Health Record.

Performs quarterly internal billing audits within the Electronic Health Record to ensure client demographic and insurance information is entered accurately. Assists with internal clinic billing audits and investigations, collections, posting and managing patient account payment to ensure compliance with Medicaid, Medicare and Third Party Insurance Payers as well as Federal and State regulations. Assists in the preparation and analysis of monthly statements on billing and collections.

Assists Chief Finance Officer with compiling various monthly and/or quarterly reports along with any special projects as assigned Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional Career Progression: This position does not participate in a career progression group and will be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 4. Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday -Friday. Location: This position will be with the NW LA Human Services District - Fiscal Services Department located at 1310 N Hearne Ave, Shreveport, LA.

Compensation: The minimum and maximum pay levels for the position is listed below: Administrative Coordinator 4 - $15.76/hour - $27.01/hour **Note regarding the advertised pay range: The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
