Job description

Job Summary:
IBM Software transforms client challenges into solutions by building AI-powered, cloud-native products. The Site Reliability Engineer will manage deployments, monitor performance, and ensure the reliability of services in AWS GovCloud.
Responsibilities:
• Manage deployments of Apptio services to AWS GovCloud.
• Monitor KPIs of services running in AWS GovCloud.
• Author and maintain documentation of deployment and monitoring processes.
• Use runbooks to troubleshoot and triage production issues.
• Detect issues and handle Tier 1 troubleshooting and serve as 'remote hands' for Tier 2-3 issue resolution.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Perform maintenance of the platform (patching, resets, upgrades, etc.)
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience with distributed Linux/Unix environment
• Familiarity with container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
• Familiarity with bash, python, or other scripting languages
Preferred:
• Familiarity with observability (e.g. Prometheus)
• Familiarity with cloud provider services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
