Role Summary 
We are seeking a highly experienced Web Smart Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications built on IBM i / AS400 platforms using Web Smart. The role requires deep expertise in backend application development, strong knowledgeof DB2/400 and SQL, and the ability to work on business-critical systems with high reliability and performance expectations. 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain WebSmart-based applications on IBM i / AS400. 
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and solutions. 
  • Develop and support backend logic, business rules, and database-driven web applications. 
  • Work extensively with DB2/400, SQL, and IBM i objects. 
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and production issues. 
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and support release activities. 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams. 
  • Maintain documentation for technical designs, code changes, and support processes. 
  • Support application enhancements, performance tuning, and modernization initiatives. 
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and development best practices. 
Required Skills 
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in application development and support. 
  • Strong hands-on experience in WebSmart development. 
  • Solid knowledge of IBM i / AS400 environment. 
  • Strong experience with DB2/400 and SQL. 
  • Good understanding of backend business logic and application workflows. 
  • Experience in debugging, issue analysis, and production support. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
