Job description

Our Civil Energy Group is seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our growing team. This role supports is ideal for a leader with a strong background in concrete, foundations, and heavy civil work.

We are an IBEW contractor; however, this is not a lineman position, and no electrical work is performed

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support all field crew members, including foremen, carpenters, and laborers
  • Oversee daily project operations and ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
  • Develop site logistics plans and partner with the Project Manager on construction methods and sequencing
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and budget field activities
  • Maintain strong working relationships with owners, subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company standards and OSHA regulations
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and applicable DOT standards
  • Coordinate subcontractor schedules, pump trucks, and material deliveries
  • Inspect and verify receipt and quality of materials

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience on large-scale civil construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of dirt work, concrete foundations, caissons, and/or vertical drilling
  • Proven leadership and crew management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules
  • GPS knowledge
  • OSHA 30-hour Card preferred
  • IBEW membership is a plus

Additional Information

  • Primary work includes concrete flatwork for substations, drilled shafts, and general civil/infrastructure projects
  • Employment is subject to the terms of the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • All candidates must successfully complete a selection assessment and pre-employment drug screening
