Position in this function manage and maintain Optum Serve Active Directory (AD) domains to support business operations.  Provide mentoring and leadership of IT projects that involve technology and product evaluation, implementation, deployment and troubleshooting as assigned.  Act as a subject matter expert (SME) of AD, Zero Trust architecture, Group Policy Objects, LDAP and other directory services. Architect, implement and operate systems infrastructure applications, platforms and cloud services within OSIT IAM's portfolio. Ensure efficient, balanced, secure and uninterrupted operation of all services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Technical lead on IT projects that involve technology and product evaluation, implementation, deployment, and troubleshooting assigned by OSIT IAM manager
  • Mentor other team members for successful deployment, maintenance and management of application services and systems
  • Troubleshoot issues dealing with IT services that leverage AD
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and avid collaborator: Thrives on frequent contact with teammates, supervisors, and a diverse population of stakeholders  
  • Solid understanding of IT operations and their related dependencies  
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure all technology systems meet legal and regulatory requirements, including ATO boundaries, maintaining the highest standards of compliance
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptly to ensure system reliability
  • Complete ServiceNow requests for backup and recovery within determined SLAs
  • Manage and serve as a participant or backup in the 24x7 on-call rotation, ensuring continuous support.   Ability to work off-hours as job tasks require
  • Utilize enterprise-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation by streamlining workflows and automating repetitive tasks.  Continuously evaluate emerging trends to drive improvement and strategic innovation
  • Assess new product research and assessment and process improvements within OSIT IAM
  • Provide guidance for security procedures to ensure the company and customer data are secure and accessed by only those that need access to it
  • Create, review and approve IT SOPs

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent training
  • 8 years of experience administering Active Directory and Group Policies. Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or applicable military experience will be considered
  • Experience with deploying a Zero Trust / Tiered Active Directory
  • Experience working in an Enterprise Class environment, following strict Change Control procedures to ensure uninterrupted production operations
  • Proficiency in using ServiceNow
  • Proven solid troubleshooting and analytical skills along with good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work independently to meet required deadlines
  • US Citizenship
  • Must work from US soil

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications on related Microsoft, VMWare, and other Technologies  
    ITIL or other ITSM framework certification  
  • Experience with Azure, PowerShell, SCCM, Teams or other enterprise application systems
  • Experience with Delinea Secret Server or similar Privileged Access Manager (PAM)
  • Experience with Bloodhound Enterprise
  • Experience with SCAP / DISA STIG compliance
  • Experience with change management processes, documentation procedures, and the ITIL framework
  • DOD/VA/Military Experience  
  • DOD/VA/Military Clearances 
  • Familiarity with Quest Change Auditor & Quest Enterprise Reporter
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP and/or NIST 800-63.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
