Description

The Lead IoT Engineer is responsible for the architecture, implementation, security, and operation of enterprise-scale Internet of Things (IoT) and edge computing platforms. This role leads the design of connected systems across devices, networks, edge infrastructure, and cloud environments while driving automation, analytics, and operational excellence. This role addresses the challenge of helping organizations securely connect and manage large numbers of devices while turning operational data into actionable insights. The Lead IoT Engineer designs and oversees the platforms that integrate devices, networks, edge computing, and cloud services, enabling real-time visibility, automation, improved security, faster decision-making, and reduced operational costs. Ultimately, the role supports digital transformation initiatives by creating scalable, intelligent, and AI-enabled connected systems that improve business performance and resilience.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in IoT, edge computing, cloud architecture, or related engineering roles.
  • Expertise in IoT and edge architecture design.
  • Strong programming and automation skills, particularly Python.
  • Experience with APIs, system integration, and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and operational best practices.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
