Job Title: IoT Engineer

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: Contract

Job Description:

  • Extensive experience in PLC, HMI, SCADA, and OPC UA
  • systems, as well as industrial protocols like IEC60870-5-101/104, DNP3, MODBUS, and OPC standards.
  • Strong network knowledge including DNS, DHCP, Firewall,
  • Gateways, Routers, and IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, and AMQP.
  • Connecting and integrating industrial devices, machines, and equipment with the MES to enable real-time data collection and analysis.
  • Analyzing the current manufacturing processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams within a manufacturing organization, such as engineering, production, and IT, to ensure that the MES solution is aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Troubleshooting and Root cause analysis for PLC/SCADA/HMI systems.
  • Knowledge of Automation - manual processes and manual machines using PLC's and controllers, enabling them to transmit data to IIoT applications.
  • Expertise in IT-OT integrations, utilizing industrial connectors such as Kepware and Ignition.
  • Expertise on IIoT platforms for monitoring devices, measuring productivity, detecting anomalies, and tracking utilization.
