Job Summary

An Industrial PLC Technician Level 1 is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and related automation equipment. This role is ideal for individuals with foundational knowledge of electrical systems and PLCs, often recent graduates or those transitioning into automation from related fields This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years relevant experience preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Basic PLC/HMI, multimeter use.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
  • Basic Knowledge of Hand Tools.
  • Basic Knowledge of Computers and Windows based programs.
What you will be doing
  • Basic wiring, LOTO, HMI setup.
  • Assist in wiring and installation of PLC hardware.
  • Perform basic diagnostics and troubleshooting under supervision.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and PLC I/O diagrams.
  • Support senior technicians in system testing and commissioning.
  • Maintain documentation and logs of work performed.
