Position Overview


We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Associate, Tour Operations & Retail Activations (Temporary) to support tour and offline retail merchandising operations for HYBE artists for a six month engagement with the potential for extension based on business needs. This role is hands-on and execution-driven, responsible for end-to-end coordination of product readiness, site operations, sales tracking, and reporting. The ideal candidate has deep experience in physical merchandising operations and thrives in fast-paced environments, bringing precision, ownership, and problem-solving into every project.


Duration: This is a full-time, temporary position designed to support our production team during an upcoming period of high-volume artist releases, tours, and project launches. While this role has a defined duration, you will be fully embedded in the HYBE America culture, working alongside our team to bring incredible artist merchandise to life.


Key Responsibilities


Tour & Offline Event Merchandising Support:

  • Assist in the day-to-day execution of merch operations for tours, offline events, and pop-ups.
  • Help coordinate inventory delivery, setup, on-site sales flow, and backshipping under the guidance of the Merchandising Manager.
  • Ensure product presentation and site operations align with brand and artist guidelines.


Cross-functional Coordination:

  • Support communication between artists’ teams and concert business teams to align merchandise offerings with tour schedules.
  • Assist in onboarding on-site vendors and ensure they follow operational protocols.
  • Cooperate with logistics and agencies to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.


Sales Tracking & Data Management:

  • Assist with real-time on-site sales and inventory tracking; support post-event reconciliation.
  • Maintain ERP sales orders and handle documentation for smooth back-end operations.
  • Help organize sales data and documentation for post-activation recaps.


Physical Requirements


The touring merchandise role is highly physical and demands stamina, agility, and resilience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Candidates must be able to meet the following physical demands, with or without reasonable accommodation:


  • Lifting & Carrying: Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry heavy boxes, bins, and cases weighing up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.
  • Stamina & Mobility: Capacity to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach overhead for extended periods (often 8 to 12+ hours per shift) during load-in, setup, showtime, and load-out.
  • Agility & Coordination: Comfort navigating diverse venue environments, which may include climbing stairs, ramps, and loading docks while transporting inventory.
  • Environmental Adaptability: Ability to work in various conditions, including crowded indoor spaces, loud environments, and outdoor venues with exposure to fluctuating weather conditions and temperatures.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, event management, merchandising, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of experience in event merchandising, live event ops, administrative support, or related roles in the entertainment industry (Open to entry-level candidates with strong internship experience).
  • Deep understanding of K-pop fandom culture and sentiment, and its role in merchandise demand.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle administrative tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate smoothly across internal and external teams.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Salary Range


The salary range for this job is $71,000-$73,000. This is a good faith effort at the time of posting. This range is base salary only and does not include benefits and any other compensatory components of the role.
