Position Overview

The HVAC Warehouse & Purchasing Manager will take ownership of warehouse operations, procurement activities, and parts distribution. This role plays a key part in ensuring technicians have the correct materials quickly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will bring HVAC product knowledge, leadership ability, and a passion for operational excellence.

Additionally, this position directly oversees the parts counter and will provide daily support to the shop and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Lead and oversee all daily warehouse functions including receiving, stocking, material staging, and shipping
  • Maintain safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment compliant with company and OSHA standards
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory controls

Manage logistics coordination for inbound/outbound products

Purchasing & Procurement

  • Source and purchase HVAC parts, tools, and equipment to support daily operations
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective purchasing
  • Track purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance
  • Monitor inventory usage and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly

Parts Counter Leadership

  • Act as primary lead of the parts counter to support service and installation teams
  • Provide technical parts knowledge and sourcing support to technicians
  • Ensure accuracy in parts distribution, returns processing, and inventory handling
  • Maintain high levels of internal customer service and reduce technician downtime

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in warehouse or inventory management required
  • HVAC industry experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of HVAC components, suppliers, and supply chain standards
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in inventory software systems and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (if driving company vehicles)
