Job description

Cornels Plumbing, Heating & Air is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead and develop our residential service team in the Portland market.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Leading, coaching, and developing our residential HVAC service technicians
  • Conducting weekly training, ride-alongs, call reviews, and individual coaching
  • Building a positive culture based on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Monitoring revenue, close rate, average ticket, callbacks, memberships, reviews, and lead conversion
  • Ensuring every customer receives a thorough evaluation and clearly explained options
  • Maintaining our fix-it-first mentality while identifying legitimate replacement opportunities
  • Partnering with dispatch, sales, installation, and customer service to create a seamless customer experience
  • Recruiting, onboarding, and retaining high-performing technicians
  • Resolving escalated customer concerns professionally
  • Maintaining safety, documentation, licensing, and quality-control standards
