AES a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems in the nation.  We have recently expanded our capabilities as a single source supplier by adding a Mechanical Services Division as well as becoming a Misc. Steel manufacturer.  These new services will reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors.  Our focus will be to enhance the services provided to our General Contractor network nationwide.  AES has 4 different fabrication facility locations nationwide to assist our customers and reduce their freight cost and shipment lead times.

What Drives Success

An HVAC Teadown (I) at our Lennox AES location in Reno, NV is responsible for the safe and efficient recovery and reclamation of parts from HVAC systems. They play a crucial role in environmental sustainability by ensuring the proper handling, recycling, and disposal of HVAC components, in compliance with industry regulations.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and thorough recovery.
  • Handle and sort materials through the reclaim process.
  • Identify and address any potential issues with the equipment during the recovery process.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in all reclaim activities.
  • Cross train and help in other areas depending on workload.
What We Are Looking For
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work with dust/oil. 
  • Able to use hand and power tools, including metal cutting saws. 
  • Works with a positive attitude and is a team player. 
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects. 
  • Has an attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. 
  • Able to handle and sort different materials. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

  • Previous manufacturing or construction experience.
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerants, and their environmental impact preferred
  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
What We Offer

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is $20.00/hour. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).

Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 10 days paid time off, 10 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
