ACS Air Conditioning Specialist – Covington, Georgia

(Pay based on experience and technical ability)

ACS Air Conditioning Specialist is actively seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team in Covington, Georgia. We are looking for a highly skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities, leadership qualities, and the ability to independently handle residential and light commercial service calls.

This position is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional who takes pride in solving complex technical issues, delivering excellent customer service, and helping maintain a high-performing service team.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
  • Perform advanced service diagnostics on air conditioning, heat pump, furnace, and ventilation systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
  • Accurately identify repair needs and communicate solutions to customers
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism on every service call
  • Complete service documentation accurately and thoroughly
  • Follow company safety procedures and quality standards
  • Assist in mentoring junior technicians when needed
  • Work closely with dispatch and management to maintain daily operational efficiency
  • Recommend repair and replacement solutions when appropriate
QualificationsRequired
  • Minimum 5+ years of HVAC service technician experience
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience servicing residential HVAC systems independently
  • EPA Certification required
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Strong customer communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
  • Light commercial HVAC experience
  • Experience with heat pumps, split systems, package units, and gas furnaces
  • NATE Certification preferred but not required
  • Leadership or senior technician experience
  • Experience mentoring junior technicians
