Position Title: HVAC Engineer
Location: Houston, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Overview
The HVAC Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, commissioning, and maintenance of high-performance HVAC systems for data center and infrastructure facilities under FII projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in mission-critical environments, ensuring system reliability, energy efficiency, and compliance with global standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize HVAC systems for new and existing data center facilities to ensure high efficiency, reliability, and energy savings.
  • Perform detailed technical assessments to identify HVAC system issues and implement best-fit engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, controls, construction, commissioning) to deliver HVAC projects on schedule and within commissioning and testing requirements.
  • Lead and support commissioning activities from L1 to L5, including Integrated System Testing (IST).
  • Monitor, operate, and maintain HVAC systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and operational excellence.
  • Provide technical guidance, documentation, and training to operations and maintenance teams.
  • Ensure HVAC designs align with sustainability, redundancy, and energy-efficient best practices.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience in data center engineering, construction, and commissioning (L1–L5, IST).
  • Proven experience in HVAC system design, installation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, control systems, and international standards (ASHRAE, ISO, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in HVAC design and analysis tools/software.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working on global FII or large-scale infrastructure/data center projects.
  • Strong knowledge of energy-efficient, sustainable, and balanced HVAC system design.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities with successful delivery of complex projects in fast-paced environments.
