Job description

HVAC Service / Installer Technician

We are seeking a dependable and experienced HVAC Service / Installer Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, ductwork, and ventilation systems
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and related components
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant-related issues
  • Ensure all installations and repairs meet local codes and company standards
  • Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and work orders
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding services, repairs, and recommendations
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle in good condition
  • Follow all safety procedures and EPA guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of HVAC installation and/or service experience preferred
  • EPA Certification is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with residential and light commercial systems
  • Knowledge of heat pumps, split systems, package units, and duct systems
  • NATE Certification is a plus
  • Experience with smart thermostats and modern HVAC controls preferred
