In some locations, the apprenticeship is split into different levels based on your existing skills. This job involves learning how HVAC systems are installed and repaired in each type of building, which mechanical skills are necessary to install, repair, and remove these temperature systems, and how to identify operational concerns like facility damage or faulty alarms. These skills ensure apprentices can safely assist in installations and repairs while building the technical expertise and professionalism needed for career advancement.

What are HVAC apprentices?

HVAC apprentices are entry-level workers who are learning the skills necessary to install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. They work under the supervision of experienced HVAC technicians or journeymen, gaining hands-on experience while also studying technical knowledge, often through a formal apprenticeship program. This role is essential for developing the foundational skills and certifications needed to become a licensed HVAC technician.
