JobSummary:

Maintenance Technician - HVAC are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including but not limited to compressor changeouts, low voltage electrical troubleshooting, condenser and/or supply fan replacement, etc.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, process air-cooled chillers, boilers, plumbing, compressed air systems, dock doors, and other ancillary nonproduction equipment.
  • Perform general building maintenance as required such as drywall repair, painting, supply/exhaust fans, etc.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to HVAC system problems
  • Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed
  • Work with low to medium-voltage equipment, control systems, motors, and other industrial machinery.
  • Collaborate with engineers, maintenance staff, and other team members on facility projects.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Industrial HVAC Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship
  • Valid HVAC technician license or certification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC technician
  • Knowledge of heating and cooling systems, including refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and heating pumps
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex problems

Base Pay Range:
