Position Summary:

The HVAC Apprentice is responsible for working directly alongside our experienced Lead Technicians. You will assist with installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment in both residential and commercial environments, learning the trade from the ground up while delivering extraordinary customer service.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist with installing, configuring, cleaning, and maintaining HVAC systems, ductwork, and accessories.

  • Assist with measuring, installing, and insulating ductwork.

  • Learn to complete simple low- and high-voltage electrical connections on furnaces, air handlers, and air conditioners.

  • Assist with brazing line sets and performing critical safety and pressure testing.

  • Assist with building custom HVAC platforms and preparing job sites for installation.

  • Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe while protecting the customer’s home or property from damage.

Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • Drive to Learn: A strong ability and willingness to take direction from a Lead Tech, absorb training, and actively work toward becoming a certified technician.

  • Communication: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with team members, management, and customers.

  • Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and possesses a strong attention to safety standards.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Note: A valid driver's license is highly recommended for this career path.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
  • Any current air conditioning, trade school, or EPA certifications are a plus, but not required. We will train the right person!

Physical Demands & Work Environment:
  • Ability to operate tablets, mobile phones, and other digital field equipment daily.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs repeatedly during work hours.

  • Ability to climb up and down ladders and step stools safely.

  • Ability to work comfortably in small, confined, or dark spaces (such as crawl spaces and attics).

  • Ability to work productively across a wide range of seasonal temperatures (both indoor and outdoor environments).

  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the workday between local job sites and customer locations.
