The Groundskeeper/Porter is responsible for efficiently maintaining the physical appearance of the apartment community's grounds, pools, and buildings.


What You'll Do...

  • Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of grounds and common areas.
  • Aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate steps to correct unsafe and unclean conditions.
  • Maintain pool, pool areas, and pool furniture. 
  • Water plants and grass as required.
  • Manage snow removal (CO, KS, MO, UT) and Hurricane preparation and cleanup in FL.
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills and maintains clear, professional communication with residents, vendors, and team members

Requirements

What You Need to Succeed...

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ years of property maintenance experience preferred.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
  • Communicate clearly to residents and respond to resident's service requests and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
  • Can use power and hand tools effectively and safely when completing maintenance tasks.
  • Must have time management skills to successfully navigate frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, be accountable for actions, self-motivated.
  • Possible travel to other properties owned by Avanti Residential to help sister communities.
  • Frequent contact with residents of all backgrounds.
  • Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and up-to-date vehicle insurance OR reliable transportation is required.
  • If minimum qualifications are met during resume screening the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required. The assessment will arrive in the email inbox that you provided.
