Manufacturing Director - Americas

Huntsman is seeking a Manufacturing Director - Americas supporting the Advanced Materials Division, located in The Woodlands, Texas. This position will report to the VP Manufacturing.

Job Scope

Huntsman Advanced Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Director, Americas, based in The Woodlands, Texas. This role sits on the Global Manufacturing Leadership Team and is a member of the Americas leadership team led by the Regional Business VP - Americas.

This is a high-impact, multi-site role responsible for improving safety, performance, cost, quality, and service across the Americas footprint. The role partners with business, supply chain, and functional leaders to deliver commercial and financial commitments.

The position is expected to lead visibly, develop talent, and drive operational excellence, while holding the organization accountable to Huntsman's Zero Harm culture.

In summary, as the Manufacturing Director, Americas, you will:
  • Lead Americas manufacturing sites through site Manufacturing Leaders; ensure consistent standards and governance.

  • Convert global strategy into regional and site plans to deliver volume, cost, quality, and customer service targets.

  • Contribute to regional business and global functional decisions in a matrixed environment.

  • Sponsor change initiatives and influence across functions and regions.

  • Act as a visible safety leader; embed Zero Harm, Process Safety discipline, and asset integrity in daily decisions.

  • Ensure consistent EHS/PSM and risk management standards aligned with regulations and corporate requirements.

  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement using global best practices and disciplined performance management.

  • Utilize KPIs and management routines to enable transparency and fact-based decision-making across sites.

  • Partner with the Regional Business VP and global functions to align manufacturing priorities with business needs.

  • Deliver outcomes related to fixed-cost discipline, CapEx prioritization, working capital, and OTIF production/service.

  • Build a pipeline of manufacturing leaders; develop successors and future enterprise leaders.

  • Strengthen site culture through goal alignment, clear targets, coaching, and accountability.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

Education required

  • 10+ years of experience in senior manufacturing leadership in chemical, advanced materials, or other regulated process industries, including multi-site or regional scope.
Skills and knowledge
  • Proven multi-site leadership through senior site leaders, with accountability for EHS and Process Safety.
  • Leadership style combining visible safety commitment, operational discipline, and high delivery standards.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L-linked decision-making, cost structure management, capital allocation, and asset optimization.
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed organizations, balancing global standards with regional realities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to align multiple stakeholders and navigate ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a U.S.-based global chemical or materials company with strong EHS and governance.
  • Hands-on experience standardizing operating systems, KPIs, and performance management across sites.
Working Environment
  • Regular travel across Americas manufacturing sites (~20%).
  • Occasional international travel to Europe and APAC.
