As a PRN Supervisory Registered Nurse, you'll serve as the clinical resource for our Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs), ensuring patients receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care in the comfort of their homes.

Your leadership helps caregivers succeed, strengthens patient outcomes, and gives families confidence that their loved ones are receiving outstanding care.

This is more than completing supervisory visits.

It's about coaching caregivers, promoting quality, and making every patient interaction count.

What You'll Do
  • Conduct initial nursing assessments and supervisory visits for non-skilled home care patients
  • Develop, review, and update individualized plans of care
  • Supervise Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance
  • Complete caregiver competency evaluations and required supervisory visits
  • Educate and mentor caregivers on patient care, safety, infection prevention, and best practices
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes with physicians, families, and the care team as appropriate
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with scheduling, intake, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care
  • Support quality assurance initiatives and agency compliance standards
Qualifications
  • Active Washington, DC Registered Nurse (RN) License Required
  • Previous Home Health or Supervisory Experience Preferred
  • Strong Assessment, Leadership, and Clinical Decision-Making Skills
  • Excellent Communication, Organization, and Time Management Skills
  • Knowledge of District of Columbia home care regulations preferred
  • Ability to work independently while providing guidance and support to caregivers
