About The Position
The HR Assistant will provide support in the functional areas of the Human Resources department, including recruitment, personnel records, employee relations, benefits administration, organization development and training. The HR Assistant will also periodically provide support to other departments by conducting audits, research, and assisting with special projects as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that Human Resource files and records are maintained in accordance with all applicable laws and Company policies and procedures.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. and refers more complex questions to the appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and other celebrations/meetings.
  • Complete monthly and year-end reports regarding terminations, transfers, new hires, etc.
  • Prepare recruiting reports, job descriptions, and job postings.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and Company policies and procedures.
  • Conducts new hire orientations.
  • Administers leaves of absences (i.e. Workers Compensation and FMLA) and integration with other functions (benefits during LOA, payroll, etc).
  • May assist with the sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding processes, including internal transfers, change forms, etc.
  • Conducts routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leaves; disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations; performance and talent management, recognition, and morale; and safety.
  • Research, resolve, and respond to employees and third parties regarding HR inquiries, verifications of employment, and unemployment claims.

Essential Requirements:
  • 2+ years of HR and/or Recruiting experience.
  • Associates Degree or higher is required, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of an HRIS database, specifically UKG pro is preferred.
  • Ability to interact with others in a professional, tactful and sensitive manner.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Salary: $20.00 - $25.50 per hour.
