Overview

Major League Soccer is looking for an experienced professional to help build and scale our human resources applications & systems. As part of the Technology team, this position will provide strategic leadership, technology management, and subject matter expertise in partnership with the Human Resources department.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with HR leadership and serve as the primary technology partner supporting HR applications, systems, integrations, data, and business processes. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive HR technology roadmap, driving process improvements, maximizing platform adoption, and ensuring technology investments align with organizational objectives.

In addition to managing the League's HR technology portfolio, the Senior Manager will serve as a strategic advisor and business analyst to Human Resources, identifying opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies to modernize HR operations and enhance the employee experience. The role will work closely with business stakeholders to evaluate challenges, define requirements, and deliver innovative technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and support the future of work at Major League Soccer.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy, governance, roadmap, and ongoing optimization of the League's HR technology portfolio.
  • Serve as the primary technology partner and trusted advisor to Human Resources, supporting HR applications, systems, integrations, data, and business processes.
  • Responsible for the implementation, configuration, enhancement, and support of HR applications and systems, including Workday HCM and related platforms.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive HR technology roadmap aligned with business objectives and organizational priorities.
  • Act as the primary business analyst for HR technology initiatives, gathering requirements, evaluating business processes, and translating business needs into scalable technology solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence (AI), automation, analytics, and emerging technologies to modernize HR operations, improve efficiency, enhance the employee experience, and support intelligent decision-making through predictive insights and generative AI capabilities.
  • Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and adoption of new HR technologies and platform capabilities.
  • Ensure HR applications are fully integrated with the League's enterprise technology ecosystem and managed in accordance with organizational standards, security requirements, and governance processes.
  • Develop reporting, analytics, dashboards, and workforce insights to support data driven decision making.
  • Manage vendor relationships, technology roadmaps, and strategic planning activities related to HR systems and services.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and user adoption programs.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies and provide recommendations for future investment and innovation.
  • Evaluate the responsible use of AI-enabled HR solutions, including copilots, intelligent assistants, workflow automation, and workforce analytics tools, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security standards, and data privacy requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience required
  • A minimum of seven years of experience supporting HR applications, systems, and business processes.
  • Three or more years of experience working with Workday products.
  • Experience administering and supporting Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Greenhouse.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technology solutions.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing automation, artificial intelligence, generative AI, machine learning, or other emerging technologies to improve business processes and employee experiences.
  • Maintains technical and industry knowledge through participation in Workday Community and other forums, including training, webinars, user groups, and industry events.
Required Skills
