Position Overview:

The Associate Human Resources Business Partner serves as a key resource for employees and leaders across the organization by supporting HR programs, policies, and processes. Working closely with the Human Resources Business Partner and leadership team, this role provides hands-on support across employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, compliance, training, employee engagement, and day-to-day HR operations.


This position is ideal for a recent college graduate or early-career HR professional seeking broad exposure across multiple Human Resources disciplines. Key Responsibilities:


Employee Relations & Performance Management

Serve as a primary HR contact for employee and manager questions.

Support employee relations matters by gathering information, documenting concerns, and recommending solutions.

Maintain coaching, disciplinary, and strike-meeting documentation and tracking.

Assist with employee reviews and performance management processes.

Participate in termination meetings and prepare all required separation documentation.

Process employee status changes and support compensation adjustments, including pay increases.

Coordinate employee assistance program (EAP) communications and resources.

Coordinate employment verification requests.

Support employee recognition programs, including core value recognition initiatives.


Benefits Administration

Support employee benefit programs and respond to benefit-related questions.

Assist with annual benefits renewals and open enrollment activities.

Review and audit benefit invoices for accuracy.

Ensure compliance with applicable benefit regulations and reporting requirements.

Maintain employee benefit records and communications.


Payroll & Retirement Administration

Process and support biweekly payroll activities.

Review payroll reports and audit data for accuracy.

Respond to employee payroll inquiries.

Coordinate payroll-related communications and inbox requests.

Support 401(k) administration, reconciliation, and payroll validations.

Assist with 401(k) audits and compliance activities.


Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

Support certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance requirements.

Coordinate OSHA reporting and maintain workplace injury records.

Assist with workers' compensation claims and injury reporting processes.

Track compliance deadlines and annual regulatory reporting requirements.

Support contractor compliance programs, including ISNetworld (ISN) and Avetta.

Provide safety and compliance documentation to vendors and customers.

Maintain compliance-related records and documentation.


Training

Assist in developing and delivering manager training programs.

Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Support employee communications and organizational training initiatives.


Employee Communications & Engagement

Draft and distribute company-wide communications and announcements.

Create holiday communications and employee engagement content.

Support employee surveys, feedback requests, and engagement follow-up activities.

Publish internal communications through Paylocity and other company platforms.

Support the planning and coordination of company events.


HR Operations & Administration

Prepare and submit personnel documentation and employment-related forms.

Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.
