Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for full-time, tenure track faculty positions as Assistant Professor of Social Work or Human Services in the Department of Social Work and Human Services with a preferred start date of January 2027. These are a nine-month contracted positions and are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
  • Teach in the Graduate Master in Social Work Program and the undergraduate Human Services Program.
  • Service to Department, College, University and/or professional community is expected.
  • Scholarship/Research expectations commensurate with rank is expected.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Social Work, Human Services or a related discipline is required at the time of hire.
  • With the MSW, a minimum of 2 years post-MSW Direct social work practice and a clinical license (L.M.S.W. or equivalent)
  • Experience with a wide variety of software platforms for training, teaching and operations such as: D2L, Simple Syllabi, Blackboard, Canvas, Word, Excel

Preferred Qualifications
  • A wide range of clinical social work practice experience
  • An active research agenda, grant funding, and a record of scholarship
  • An interest in leadership opportunities
  • A demonstrated commitment to student mentoring and success
  • Experience or interest in developing international education and/or internship programming
