Job description


Under the direction of the Director, Human Resources, the Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the recruitment efforts at LTYC. They will provide administrative and operational support for the full cycle of recruitment activities. This includes managing job postings, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, tracking applicant data, and supporting onboarding logistics. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. This is a contractual role with the potential to grow into a full-time position.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Post and update job openings across internal and external platforms (job boards, social media, websites, etc.).
  • Organize and manage applicant tracking spreadsheets and/or systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date candidate records.
  • Screen resumes and applications, conduct initial outreach to potential candidates, and coordinate candidate flow through the hiring pipeline.
  • Schedule and confirm interviews between candidates and hiring teams, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared.
  • Maintain consistent, timely communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a professional and positive candidate experience.
  • Prepare interview materials, candidate evaluation forms, and reference check documents.
  • Support the development of recruitment reports and key metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, interview-to-hire ratio).
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding logistics including background checks, document collection, and welcome communications.
  • Assist with organizing and updating digital employee files and documentation related to hiring and onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with recruitment and hiring practices, including confidentiality and documentation standards.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR and Leadership team as needed, including calendar coordination, drafting communications, and managing recruitment-related inquiries.
  • Support recruitment events such as job fairs, virtual hiring events, or community outreach initiatives.

Minimal Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of experience in recruitment coordination or HR administration.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or recruitment databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience supporting recruitment in a nonprofit or education-based organization.
  • Familiarity with recruitment compliance and labor regulations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and improve administrative processes.
