Job description

What to Expect:
The Associate Human Resources Business Partner- Hub Services will report to and work alongside the Hub HR Business Partner. They will be responsible for collaborating with business leaders and employees by providing expert HR guidance and supporting employee relations. They will also support data entry, maintain, and process HR documentation, and strengthen compliance reporting. The position will support a large number of unionized frontline and management employees at an assigned location.
How you will make an impact:
Employee Relations/Onboarding
  • Assists HRBP with investigations, attending meetings, taking notes, and at times taking the lead on low-risk cases.
  • Serves as a corporate liaison in providing general support, general information, and assists in responding to inquiries about the company policies, leaves of absence, and unemployment claims.
  • Provides HR support to internal customers and colleagues in a friendly, efficient, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Responsible for the facilitation of New Hire Orientation.
  • Partners with HR Business Partner in people matters to gain a deeper understanding of the business.
  • Other duties as assigned to support HR objectives through initiatives and special projects.

Employee Records
  • Maintains sensitive or confidential HR files.
  • Support the management for leave of absence requests, disciplinary action plans, and occupational injury reports.
  • Maintains accurate union employee seniority dates to support frontline employee inquires.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments as it relates to shared processes not limited to job abandonments, occupational injuries, conducting Reasonable Accommodation Process for employees who may require transitional duties.
  • Assists HRBP with the facilitation of training classes held locally.

System Administration
  • Processes I-9 Verification in E- Verify
  • Manages and responds to all HR inquires in-person, via email, and by phone.
  • Responsible for the administration of ADP (HRIS) & other computer system changes and/or updates.
  • Assist in analyzing HR metrics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

What you will bring:
Required Experience, Qualifications & Skills
  • 3+ years of HR experience or relevant experience with a bachelor's or other relevant degree.
  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, and/or relative experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Technical proficiency and/or expertise with Microsoft Office (excel, Word, PowerPoint, Team, etc.), Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Practical understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  • Must be detail oriented with a strong work ethic and be able to maintain confidentiality in daily operations.
  • Some experience with employee investigations and managing employee relation concerns.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Team player and willingness to learn.
  • Some travel (depending on business need).
  • Not a remote position, on site at DEN airport

Preferred Experience
  • Familiar with CBA language and interpretation while supporting a larger, diverse unionized workforce.
  • Knowledge of various types of leave of absences, such as FMLA, military, VESSA, and experience with administration and tracking of leaves of absences
  • Familiar with responding to unemployment claims.
  • Airline experience
