  • Support the development and posting of job advertisements across appropriate recruitment platforms, community networks, and social media channels.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to help families and FMSAs attract qualified candidates, particularly in rural, remote, and high-demand communities.
  • Coordinate interviews and provide standardized recruitment tools, including interview guides, candidate evaluation templates, scoring matrices, and interview questions.
  • Participate in interviews alongside families and Family Managed Services Administrators when requested.
  • Assist with reference and background check processes in accordance with legislation and organizational policies.
  • Provide onboarding guidance and resources to support successful employee integration.
  • Develop and provide orientation materials, onboarding checklists, and individualized training plans.
  • Assist families and FMSAs with establishing clear role expectations, work schedules, reporting relationships, communication practices, and supervision approaches.
  • Provide guidance regarding workplace accommodations and inclusive employment practices.
  • Offer guidance on performance management, including coaching, performance reviews, constructive feedback, progressive performance improvement strategies, and employee recognition.
  • Collaborate with Family Resource Coordinators, Social Workers, and other professionals to ensure recruitment aligns with individualized service plans where appropriate.
  • Build trusting relationships with families throughout the recruitment and employment process.
  • Provide individualized consultation based on each family's staffing needs and employment goals.
  • Develop new HR resources, templates, guides, and tools that strengthen Family Managed Services across Alberta.
  • Stay current with emerging HR practices, employment legislation, and disability sector trends.
Knowledge & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards, Human Rights legislation, Occupational Health and Safety legislation, and HR best practices.
  • Experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, and workforce development.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, families, or within the human services sector is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Family Managed Services, person-centred planning, and inclusive employment practices is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality, privacy legislation, and ethical practice.
Working Conditions

  • Requires a Clear Enhanced Police Information Check.
  • Ability to attend community events, recruitment fairs, and family meetings.
  • Travel may be required to support families, training sessions, and outreach activities.
What We Have to Offer
