Payroll & HR Generalist 


We're looking for a Payroll & HR Generalist to join our amazing team! Specifically, we are looking for someone passionate about all aspects of Payroll and HR who thrives on change and variety. Key Responsibilities:

The focus of the Payroll & HR Generalist role will be to:
Payroll Functions:

  • Perform full-cycle payroll processing for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations, including provincial payroll standards.
  • Maintain payroll records, including employee data, tax information, and deductions.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from clients and employees in a timely manner.
  • Assist with year-end payroll tasks, including preparing T4s and other government filings. 
  • Ensure accurate remittances to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and other government bodies.


HR Functions:

  • Create, review and update client policies, handbooks, and other documents to ensure they are compliant with the relevant legislation as well as best practices.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Provide advice on performance and disciplinary issues.
  • Mentor internal HR Coordinators.
  • Assist with the administration and facilitation of terminations and suspensions per client needs.
  • Coordinate employee and/or disability leaves.
  • Administer training sessions and/or seminars.
  • Keep current with existing and proposed laws and regulations affecting HR practices. 
  • Assist with specialized projects such as job descriptions, compensation reviews, HR audits, and HRIS implementations.
  • Provide recruitment support.
  • Provide benefits administration support.
  • Initiate strategic planning, reinforce processes, and ensure compliance.
  • Other HR & Administrative tasks, as required.

          The person we are looking for is an energetic individual who possesses the following: 

          • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
          • Phenomenal attention to detail 
          • Strong customer service skills 
          • The ability to work independently and in a team environment 
          • Willingness to give and receive feedback 
          • Willingness to learn new technology and systems 

            The Minimum Qualifications

            • Post-secondary education in Human Resources 
            • PCP designation required; candidates actively working toward the designation will also be considered
            • 1+ years full-cycle payroll experience 
            • 3+ years of HR generalist experience 
            • CPHR designation, or interest in pursuing the designation, is considered an asset
            • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is considered an asset 
            • Access to reliable transportation to travel from site to site, as necessary

              Work Hours


              Our full‑time roles are based on 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday. We’re also open to part‑time candidates, including those who prefer a flexible schedule and can scale their hours up in response to operational needs.
