Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing innovative HR solutions, building rapport, establishing trust and credibility and providing winning solutions across all levels of employees. Responsible for the day-to-day activities related to Employee Relations, HR Compliance, Performance Management, and Training in accordance with Byrne's vision and values.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Job Requirements:
โ€ข Supports production staffing activities including: preparation of job postings, maintenance of internal and external production requisitions, interviewing candidates, and making recommendations to leadership.
โ€ข Work directly with staffing agencies on recruiting and employee relations for personnel.
โ€ข Conduct new hire orientation for all new production employees. Provide an excellent onboarding experience, including integration into the company, procuring necessary equipment and resources, and notifying appropriate personnel for announcements, etc.
โ€ข Facilitate HR and Health & Safety related training and conducts presentations as needed.
โ€ข Ensures visibility with all employees and an available presence to answer any HR-related question. Assistance and guidance is to be provided in a professional, courteous and expeditious manner.
โ€ข Participate in the development and continual updating of company policies.
โ€ข Provide excellent customer service to increase employee engagement.
โ€ข Advise and assist managers/employees with work related issues and the interpretation of company policies and procedures to ensure fair and consistent treatment company wide.
โ€ข Conduct employee investigations for the purpose of reaching resolutions that provide a healthy work environment. Recommend corrective action when required.
โ€ข Serve as a credible and effective sounding board and source of advice for business leaders.
โ€ข Participate as HR member for terminations as required. Ensure all documentation is accurate and in order prior to the separation.
โ€ข Responsible for maintaining and influencing a safety-conscious employee population. This includes: timely assistance in all injuries, accident investigation, incident reporting, collaboration with leadership and temporary agencies.
โ€ข Maintain strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal, with a high level of confidentiality.
โ€ข Assist Team with annual Benefits Open Enrollment process.
โ€ข Serve as an employee and Brand ambassador by continuing to build on the employment brand.
โ€ข Lead HR Programs and Projects as assigned.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
โ€ข Participate in event planning, as needed.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Experience Required:
โ€ข 1-3 years of HR Generalist or Business Partner experience preferred
โ€ข Knowledge of KPI's and metrics
โ€ข Strong written and oral communication skills
โ€ข Strong results-orientation and commitment to quality, performance and deliverables
โ€ข Effective multi-tasker with demonstrated ability to prioritize
โ€ข Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality; establish strong credibility and build relationships;
โ€ข Proven ability to establish strong credibility and build relationships and operate in an environment of ambiguity
โ€ข Experience with an HRIS system preferred
โ€ข Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
