Job description

$15.50 to 18.00/ hr. 

The Assistant Medical Coordinator will assist the Medical Coordinator in reviewing all medical appointment documentation from every medical appointment for each individual Chrysalis serves in an appropriate and timely manner.  The Assistant Medical Coordinator will also assist with updating individual's medical histories, insurance information, and other medical data into the computer where necessary.  The Assistant Medical Coordinator may also be responsible in assisting with setting up medical appointments, notifying residential and day service managers of appointments and coordinating transportation for the individuals to and from each appointment.  This Assistant Medical Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting with making sure necessary follow up visits are scheduled for the individual in a timely manner.  The Assistant Medical Coordinator will also be responsible for   The Assistant Medial Coordinator may also be required to communicate with parents/guardians, pharmacies, state coordinators, Behavior Analysts, and/or Associate Directors of any changes made during appointments.  The Assistant Medical Coordinator may also be asked to assist with other various medical tasks such as helping with medications, filing paperwork, obtaining monthly vitals and other various tasks as assigned by the Nurse and/or Medical Coordinator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, OSHA, Human Rights, ANEM, SOAR trainings and any other required training.
  • Pass Criminal History Check
  • Meet Chrysalis company and person driving policy requirements and maintain eligible driving status
  • Maintain a valid driver's license, must be at least 21 years of age
  • 2 years experience in the field of human services
  • Experience and Education: High School diploma or GED

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with other employees and individuals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, e-mail, and other basic computer programs.
  • Demonstrate professional phone etiquette and public relations when working with employees, outside professionals, state employees, and guardians.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and writing skills.
  • Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the medical field and/or disability field preferred.
