Duties & Responsibilities
As an HR Generalist, you will be delivering comprehensive HR services and acting as a strategic business partner to clients regarding benefits, compensation, employee relations, recruitment, training and development, and HRIS systems. You will manage client activities to create and develop strong business relationships, retain clients, ensure quality service, and increase revenue.
What is unique about our business is that no two days are the same. Your role will include managing a book of 3-7 clients for their outsourced HR needs. This could include activities such as:
  • Auditing HR, payroll, benefits, or other related functions to make recommendations for corrective action.
  • Assist with client recruiting by posting jobs, screening and tracking candidates, and conducting phone screens.
  • Administering benefit plans including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  • Employee relations and leave of absence management.
  • HR administration such as terminations, employee onboarding, employee changes, filing, and other HR-related correspondence; maintains accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • The development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating employee performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Conducting investigations and resolves employee relations issues in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in training and development initiatives for employees at all levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably as an HR Specialist or a similar position.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations in the United States.
  • Experience in employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Acts as a team player and champion of the GritHR values.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
  • Stays abreast of changes in employment law and HR trends.
  • For this role, the ideal candidate must be based in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones ONLY

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $55k - $65k/year base + quarterly revenue share; total on target compensation range in first year = $61k - $73k
