About The Company:

Addison Group is partnering with a well-established organization in the food distribution industry seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a busy Human Resources department. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a combination of recruiting, onboarding, employee support, and HR administration.

Job Description:

The HR Generalist will provide day-to-day support for the Human Resources team by managing recruitment coordination, onboarding, employee communications, HR systems administration, and general HR operations. This individual will serve as a key resource for employees while helping ensure HR processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the recruitment process, including posting open positions, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters.
  • Manage electronic onboarding for new hires, including background checks, drug screens, new hire paperwork, and orientation.
  • Maintain employee records and complete HR transactions within ADP, including file feed updates and employee data changes.
  • Prepare employment verification requests and other HR-related documentation.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and escalate more complex matters to the HR leadership team when appropriate.
  • Assist with company communications, including employee announcements, wellness initiatives, and open enrollment reminders.
  • Coordinate local employee events and help ensure successful execution.
  • Support benefits administration by working with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Generate HR reports and maintain accurate personnel records.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department and assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of Human Resources Generalist experience
  • Previous experience with recruiting, onboarding, HR administration, and employee relations.
  • ADP experience is required.
  • Experience using Workday is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
