HR Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Acting as a vital bridge between HR strategy and day-to-day execution, the HR Operations Manager ensures, benefits administration, onboarding, offboarding, compliance, and employee data management are executed effectively, supporting both employees and leadership in achieving organizational goals and creating a best-in-class employee lifestyle experience.

This role manages HR processes, ensures compliance with various employment laws and company policies, oversees benefits administration, and streamlines workflows for optimization.

The position is based on-site in our corporate office located in San Antonio, TX.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

HR Operations & Process Management

Oversees and continuously improves core HR processes - onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and HRIS management

Develops, documents, and maintains HR policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines

Partners with HR leadership to execute operational strategy aligned with business objectives

Drives automation and process improvements to increase efficiency across HR workflows

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensures company-wide compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including but not limited to: FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ERISA, etc.

Maintains accurate employee records, and ensures data integrity in HRIS

Monitors changes in labor law and proactively update policies to maintain compliance

Serves as the primary point of contact for HR-related audits and regulatory inquiries

Employee Relations & Experience

Support managers and employees with interpretation of HR policies and resolution of workplace issues serving as an additional HR Business Partner as needed

Participates in employee engagement initiatives and contributes to a positive organizational culture

Oversees the system aspects of the annual performance review cycle, ensuring consistency and timeliness within the HRIS system

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Leads, mentors, and develops a team of HR coordinators and generalists

Partners with IT on HRIS integrations, system upgrades, and digital HR transformation initiatives

Represents HR in cross-functional projects, and organizational initiatives

Reporting & Analytics

Generates and presents HR metrics and dashboards to senior leadership

Uses workforce data to identify trends and recommend proactive HR interventions

Manages ad-hoc HR reporting requests from business leaders and stakeholders

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an operations or management role

Demonstrated expertise with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred)

Strong working knowledge of employment law, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ERISA, and related regulations

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills

High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR reporting tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification (preferred)

Experience leading HR digital transformation or system implementation projects

Familiarity with Agile or project management methodologies (preferred)

Prior experience in a high-growth, multi-location, and/or start-up environments
