Overview

Job Title: Mid HR SpecialistLocation: Washington DC

Introduction: Rivet Operations Company ("Rivet") has an opening for a Mid HR Specialist to join our rapidly growing team in the Washington DC area. Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the Department of Defense (DoD) and a leader in physical and cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, process improvement and development.

The Mid HR Specialist provides technical support and advisory services in position classification, recruitment, and HR program administration. This role involves applying established HR principles to resolve moderately complex issues, assisting managers and employees with classification and staffing needs, and ensuring compliance with federal HR policies and procedures.

Primary Duties:

Provides independent classification and position management support, including: Conducting position evaluations and recommending series/grade/title determinations Reviewing classification standards, functional statements, organizational charts Conducting job analyses and organizational program audits Preparing classification justifications and evaluation statements Advising managers on classification changes and workforce alignment Review and analyze position descriptions for accuracy and compliance with OPM standards Ensure HR actions are processed accurately using automated systems and proper coding Enter and retrieve data from HR systems Prepare standard reports and reconcile records Maintain subject matter files and agency guidance documentation.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred) Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal HR classification or similar role In-depth knowledge of OPM classification standards and HR policies Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proficiency in HRIS systems and automated position description libraries Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications Effective communication and customer service skills

Security Clearance:Position requires applicant to be a US Citizen and able to obtain the required security clearance for the position.
